Recording my daily food and calorie intake is making me see how much the snacks add up. I find it difficult to think in calories (we use kilojoules in Australia) and make most of my food from scratch, so the calories I am recording are very rough estimates. It's still the best tool I have come across for this purpose - it forces me to be honest, especially about the wine and sweets!

Here we go! I gave up smoking, got married, stopped exercising and went up a few dress sizes, as one does. My diet changed to my husband's peferences, from low fat Asian food to mostly wheat-based and high fat western food. Giving up gluten and reducing dairy was a good start to turn things around. Less bloated, feeling a bit better. Now just need to get more sleep, drink less wine, and commit to an exercise routine. Noone wants to lose weight with me so I came here for company!
