Update, I am now 41 years old, college graduate, Mother of 3 boys, ages 2, 4 and 6 years old and husband of one for almost 8 years. He has a daughter who is 11 years old from a previous marriage. From and grew up in Michigan and now live in Oklahoma. Go SOONERS!!!! Full-time working mom. Born again Christian. I am aerobics teacher and personal trainer and currently trying to lose weight by listening to my God Given Hunger cues.

I am trying to lose weight a little different this time. I am not on any particular diet. There are no retricted food or drinks. Just depending on God to help me through this journey for life. Listening to my hunger cues he gave me. Eating smaler portion to accomadate my fist size stomach. Lastly, avoid overeating.

I am praying for spiritual growth, emotionally happy and physically healthier for 2010. Amen.

Anyone else terrified of Thanksgiving
I think sometimes we hae the wrong idea about food. When we forbid food, we want it more. Our problems is the overeating and failure to modify our eating habits. I would eat a few bites of what you really want on Thanksgiving and be okay with it as long as you dont over eat. If you take a bite of something and it isn't hitting the spot, stop eating it. Don't wast calorie intake ont things you don't really want.

Time: Why Exercise Won't Make You Thin
I have heard it was 80% diet 20% exercise. This is what I do know for me that exercise alone, I don't lose weight. Diet alone I can lose weight. The combination of two and I mean the the combination of a good diet and exercise will speed up the weight loss. My goal right now is to focus on two things, watch my eating habits and increase my metabolism. Since I am 41, the best way to do that is weight training. I let you guys know how that works for me as this is my first week.

Diet Soda
Okay, I am considering giving up diet soda. I usually only have one a day so I don't think I am soda crazy, but I wonder if for health reasons if it would be better to eliminate diet soda since there is nothing nutritional in a can of diet soda. Any thought anyone?
