I'm 61 and recently retired, but finding each day busier than ever. I love participating in community theater as an actor, props person or volunteer. I take on occasional jobs in a garden market over the Spring and Summer months as well as grow tons of flowers at home with my dear husband of 25 years. We love RV camping, travel by cruise ship (we've been on two so far), and creative projects of all kinds too numerous to list! I'm a 3 year survivor of breast cancer which helped me to re-think my life priorities. I have one amazing son, a young man now, and three step children all on their own. Life is good!

Sometimes you just fall off the wagon
This past week I felt like two people; one that blew off my whole ww plan and caved in to the snacks, and one that stood quietly in the background, arms tightly folded, shaking her head sadly. Today I'm making lists, checking them twice and heading off to the grocery store to purchase healthy food for healthy meals. I'm not giving up!Bad Grin

Looking for buddies for the long haul
Congratulations, Sunrise, on your 10 lb weight loss! You're on your way! I started back to weight watchers, but this time I added going to the gym and using a trainer for a short period to build my confidence. It's tough to be exercising in what I thought would be a room full of young and trim people. As it turned out, many of the people there are in a situation similar to my own and folks just concentrate on their own stuff, so it's no big deal. Sounds like you'll soon have buddies too, to help you along. Blessings!
