New to this program
Welcome to the community. I used another app for about 3 weeks, but then after many recommendations by other members of the Atkins community, I switched to this one. And, I am glad. There is definitely tons of supportive people here. In the one week that I have been on here, I have had people support my journal entries, and even look at what I've been eating via my food log to try and see why I gained this past week. Good luck!

Need feedback on Atkins 2nd time around
MummyDee, thanks so much for the tips. I think you're right about both the beef sticks and the Atkins products. I definitely need to look into those beef sticks, when I saw they were 0 carbs I thought it was too good to be true. But I guess just because they have zero carbs doesn't mean they're acceptable. And, with the Atkins shakes/treats, I think I've been using them as a crutch because I can't seem to get past my habit of having a dessert after dinner every night. I need to get past that. Do you have any suggestions for something sweet that is induction-friendly that I could eat instead of the bars? Again, thanks for taking the time to help me out.

Need feedback on Atkins 2nd time around
This is my second time doing Atkins, as well, and I am experiencing a much slower weight loss. I remember the first week of weight loss my first go-around was almost 8 pounds. This time it was only 5. In 3 weeks I have lost 11 pounds and my week 4 weigh-in is tomorrow.

The frustrating thing about the weight coming off slower the second time around is that I really feel like I know what I'm doing this time and am following the plan much more strictly, but still the weight comes off slower, so I share your frustration. Much of what I've read on the Atkins.com forums does say that the more times you do the diet, the slower the weight loss is. That's why this time I'm sticking to it for life.

Where to buy almond flour?
Thanks so much everyone! I really appreciate it. I think I will probably have to order it from the internet, as there are not really any health food stores around here. I do have family that lives in St. Louis, so maybe I could buy some in bulk there when I visit for Christmas. Regardless, thanks for your suggestions and help everyone. I just joined this site 5 days ago and already feel so supported by everyone in this community. Smile

Where to buy almond flour?
I have been doing the low-carb diet thing for a while now and want to try some of the really yummy sounding recipes on this site, but many of them require different kinds of flours, like almond flour. I live in a small town and don't have a lot of shopping options. Is this something they carry at Wal-Mart or Aldi's? I want to try some of these recipes, but can't seem to locate some of these rare ingredients. Help! Sad
