Really Confused About Muscle and Fat
Thanks for all the advice. I need to increase my protein intake and I might need to slow down on the cardio. I just started jogging for 2 hours everyday in the past week. I also need to get back to recording my food and exercise.

Really Confused About Muscle and Fat
This might get a bit confusing but I'm really confused about this. I am still learning so have mercy on me. lol

Some things I've heard:
If you want a nice lean body you have to have some muscle or you will be "skinny fat." Ok I get that but I've also heard that you can't gain muscle with a low calorie diet.

Ok, but I also heard if you do gain muscle and you are overweight that you won't see the muscle because of the extra fat. But, don't you have to have a low calorie diet to lose fat, which in turn will stop you from gaining muscle. I'm pretty sure protein plays a part in this too.

I know these questions sound dumb to the experienced dieters but there is just so much conflicting information out there.

Confession Time...what's your secret?!?!?!?
I want to be the skinny one in my family. All my younger relatives are skinny and I have always been the big one.

I really want to be able to wear shorts and skirts without my thighs touching. I don't want to start a fire lol.

calling all students...
I always have alot of fruit around for snacking, like grapes and blueberries. I also try to do as much of my studying during the day so I can have time to exercise later on in the day.

Are Carbs Really That Bad
@kanan123 That's why I don't get people who try to remove them completely. You need carbs just like you need some fat in your diet.
