Happy New Year!
Not too bad last night - I went to a house party and brought along a SB friendly dish, then ate a good bit of the veggies and dip vs the homemade stromboli, mac & cheese and other goodies. I did have a few drinks, but nothing too wild. I made sure before I went to the party that I wasn't high in fat or calories so that I could splurge a little.
I had to work this morning, so I rushed around and was very glad that I had fixed the egg "muffins" - it put me right back on track for my eating goals.
I hope everyone had a safe and happy new year. Don't forget if you're new to your diet to take your before pictures and measurements!

I'm ready for the new year!
I decided to go ahead and start on my diet today rather than waiting until Tuesday, and this time, I'm ready for anything. I made out my meal plan for the week (breakfast, lunch, dinner & 3 snacks) and went grocery shopping yesterday. This morning, I went ahead and made the breakfasts stuff for a week (veggie sausage egg "muffins"), made asparagus soup that I really like and goes well with any meal and I'm cooking a whole bag of frozen chicken breasts to work with different meals.
This time I really do feel different - I don't know exactly why, but I feel prepared mentally and physically. This time will be different.
Good luck to everyone this new year!

Christmas was a pretty good day - I wasn't trying to be perfect, but I wasn't letting it all go, either. Now that Christmas is over, I can really get to work on my diet.
I've been making a real effort to eat regular meals instead of one huge meal a day, and it seems to be working well. Breakfast is still not my favorite meal of the day, but I'm working on it. The next thing that I need to focus on is my food journal.
Good luck to everyone this New Year!

Thanks everyone for the support - it's so nice to see those encouraging messages. Yesterday was a MUCH better day. I made sure that I ate a healthy breakfast (Special K - I know it's not for SBD phase 1, but I really don't like eggs), which held me over for a long time. The store candy dish is gone, which stops little snacking and I brought my dinner.
I still need to work on eating more frequently, but one step at a time, right? I'm feeling much better now.
