Folding Cycle Exercising, same as bikeing?
So my mom got one of those Stamina InStride Folding Cycles from walgreens.com and I REALLY like it!!!

I can sit in my computer chair and bike my little heart out listening to music on my computer or even while I play some world of warcraft. Its great for wow fishing lol

Anyways, do you think its the same as biking in the exercise menu?

I figured I did Bicycling (moderate) - 13/mph today cause I was biking my big butt off for 35 mins and seeing that 556kcal burned sure made me feel good about myself. What do you guys think? Same as a real bicycling?

btw you guys should try one of these if you hate walking and exercising. I really like it and didn't think I would. I have a bad left knee, but this doesn't seem to bother me to much. I can bike longer than I can walking before I give up, that's for sure.

Carbs - I hate you.
I set my RDI to 1500 calories a day. Which I have been going over a bit. I want to keep it under 2000 calories a day.

I got the Protien, Carbs, Fat grams from doing some research online on the daily amount a person should be eating trying to lose weight.

They are ridiculous though - defiantly not obtainable for me.

No I'm not following any specific diet. Just trying to exercise more and eat a little less.

Thanks for all your responses Very Happy

Why are you overweight?
Im over weight largely due to the family life I was brought up in. Everyone on my mothers side of the family is obese and has always struggled with their weight. Growing up I was always the fat kid, but I was active. I was teased constantly in high school and that made things worse for me. I couldn't be seen eating or exercising because I would get teased either way. Then I would go home and my father, who was a verbally abusive alcoholic would tell me and my mother how disgusting we were and how fat we were, but then he would bring home junk food and expect us to eat it.

Things got better for me in college. Its funny how its usually different for many people. I weighted about 200 pounds and was sorta stuck there. I couldn't lose or gain weight. That is until I met my first boyfriend and then after a year he left me and my heart was broken and I packed on about 50 pounds.

I tried going to the gym and did a weight loss challenge at work and was doing great until one day at the gym when my trainer was pushing me to hard something in my head snapped and I found out I have a mild brain malformation which causes me to have horrible headaches (pressure headaches - like someone is trying to stick a kids football helmet over my big head). So the 10 pounds I had lost, all came back within the next year or so while I tried to figure out what to do with my life and how to live my life with the headaches. Im doing much better now - its all manageable usually - oddly enough birth control pills help, staying in low stress situations, not drinking caffeine etc.

But I'm off topic! I'm over weight because of the lack of proper instruction on nutrition and exercise from when I was a child in my family life.

Now, 26 years later, I'm trying to rebuild everything, understand my body, and fix everything that really should of been going well from the start. I think I'm doing good though Smile

If your on this website - I think we are all on the fast track to a better us. I know for me, I feel like a skinny person trapped in a fat persons body. This is defiantly not my body when I look in the mirror.
