Savory Breakfast Ideas?
I've discovered that I like oatmeal best when it's savory and lean: Cooked in water, not milk, with a few grinds of sea salt added to the water first, and it's like eating a simple grain, like a bowl of rice. I use old-fashioned Quaker oats because they're simple and available, but I keep hearing and reading that steel cut are better.

Other Sources of Protein...
For a different taste and a quick high-protein meal, I occasionally have whey protein chocolate flavor powder. A scoop is 110 calories. Put in a blender with 8 oz. Skim or even 1 per cent milk for a high volume shake. No artificial ingredients and no sugar. Sweetened with stevia. Not something you want all the time, but as I said, a nice occasional different thing to have on hand.

Where is everyone from?
I live on an island off the coast of New England. The summer businesses here, including ours, are shut down now for the winter. Essential year round businesses are open, and we have a year round school here. This is a great time of year to keep my resolve to walk 3 miles each day.
