Starting over AGAIN on Atkins. I'm 63, mom of 6, grandmother of 2 Avid horsewoman, fiber artist - spinning/weaving/knitting - and HORRENDOUS carb addict. Can gain 2 pounds over night if I've eaten carbs the day before. Lost 46 lbs on Atkins years ago which was my first goal, gained all but 20 back. Have been battling this ever since. Really trying to find a solution...

Strange phenomenon...
Jadea, I'm late to the party, but just wanted to let you know that you are not alone in the "waking up in the middle of the night STARVING" department. That was me, too. It was burning hunger, and I'd HAVE to eat. But I'll tell you what I did, and what actually got me out of it --- for a few nights I ate 2 or 4 TUMS, then drank a glass of water. Not Atkins friendly, but it worked nonetheless.

Vitamins?
Hi PF, thanks so much for the info packed answer! I hear you on the one a day, and have been taking a multi plus extra D and B12 as prescribed by my PCP. Just wondering WHICH one most Atkins followers take. Care to share which you are taking?
