I've been fat my whole life. It just became second nature for me. I was fairly active as a kid and teenager, playing tennis was my favorite activity (even though I wasn't very good at it). But I still didn't do enough to lose weight. Now at age 36, I'm dating a wonderful man who loves me even at this size (oh, and I wear a size 26/28). And while this really makes me happy, I know I'll be even happier once I get myself a lot more healthy. So for me, this isn't just about losing weight; it's about getting much healthier than I am right now.
To do this, I'm trying set some realistic goals...and each time I achieve a goal, I celebrate with something nice, NON-FOOD RELATED!!!! Right now, I'm about 35 lbs away from my first goal...and I'm so excited about the celebratory item I've got ready for me. It's going to be awesome!!!!!
