In desperate need of comfort food today, glad to know I had the Smart One's Broccoli and cheddar cheese covered roasted potatoes to eat. Yummy!!

Disappointed that I could not continue with the juicing diet, I made it past the initial 3 days and was quite happy. Maybe some other time.
I began back on my normal diet, but with a few changes. I am no longer going to used butter to cook my eggs with, instead, I have changed to cooking spray. I have a love affair with butter and I need to find a replacement for that. I can do this without a quick fix, and besides, quick fixes, never last long anyway. Most people tend to gain the weight back, and that is something that I do NOT want to do. CARPE DIEM!!!

Beginning of day 3 on the juicing diet. Our juicer comes in today and we can finally start buying fresh veggies instead of buying Odwalla, Naked or Bolthouse pre-made juices.
Last night things were beginning to get to me, but I re grouped and calmed down. The "hunger" that I felt was really doing a number on me. I had to make dinner for my kids and while I was having juice and almonds, they were having chili dogs with chips. I had a miniscule nibble of cheese and 2 cheese puffs. I was weak, but I did prevail and stopped at what I had and left it alone. I slept really well. I didn't have the dizzy, light headed feeling that I did the previous night. No feeling of impending doom or that I my die.
This morning, I woke up with a stuffy nose and my head hurts. I do not think that this has anything to do with my juicing. I'm taking in so much vitamin C and Zinc that I find it ludicrous to even think that it may have something to do with it. Outside of the illness, I am feeling great! I'm not hungry at all when I wake up and making it through the day is easy. My trouble is at night. I am trying really hard to break the snacking cycle. I don't know for sure that it's working, but I the numbers on the scale are moving in the right direction.
I'm hoping that this initial period is almost over. Joe Cross said that it usually lasts 3 to 4 days, after that, it gets easier and easier. I feel much better about it this morning and am determined to lose this weight and keep it off.
