Well, my chest infection is pretty much gone now, but now my TOM arrived today and brought along 2 lovely spots on my chin! Whatever, if that's my biggest complaint then I guess I'll take it.
I haven't had a proper run in days since I got ill, but my weight has not suffered too badly. Which proves that what you eat plays the much bigger role in maintaining than exercising. Don't get me wrong I think everyone should break a good sweat once in awhile, but it's certainly not the be all and end all of losing or maintaining your weight.
Have a good one guys!

Battling a chest infection, so I have not been able to run the last 3 days. A quiet day today and then I host my dad's birthday lunch tomorrow regardless of how I feel.
Weight has been very steady and being mindful has been the biggest reason why. The constant mindfulness is just a fact of life for anyone who has to watch their weight. The faster I accepted this truth the better off I have been.
I truly enjoy reading all of my buddy's journals. The challenges, the triumphs, and the honesty with which you share it inspires me to never go back. Even though I'm not in the weight loss stage anymore; mind sets are still being changed and developed. So thanks guys for being transparent and allowing us to see it all!

Pizza and TOM are working against me for this morning's weigh in! I will eat better for the rest of the day and get myself back on track. This time of the month is always so challenging to eat well, but at least I'm being mindful. Even if that means acknowledging my sucky choices. Here's to a better week!

I guess we are in the dog days of summer. Nothing major is happening in my life which is wonderful, and that also means that my grip on maintence is getting stronger. The key is to be mindful most of the time. We're not going to be perfect everyday (that would be boring), but if we can be mindful 90% of the time during maintence then we should be good. A normal weight fluctuation between 1-4 lbs works for me - realistic.

Being in maintenance-mode has shown me that it's not really that much different than in the losing stage, but you need different motivations.
As mentioned before, I don't love running; I just do it. Now, that I don't want to lose anymore weight, I have to mentally work harder to get myself on the treadmill, but keeping up with that discipline also works to help me stay on track with my eating. I run now mainly for health reasons; as we all know it's good to get the body furnace going and sweat a bit.
Have a good day everyone!
