my hens had a scare this morning, I forgot to turn radio on to scare hawks away when I let them out, and a hawk almost got one of the buffs.

This one of my hens, she is about 2 months old here, but now she is almost a year, next month February. She is a Buff, and has produced many eggs, I don't name all my chickens, just some.

I am slowing getting into "IF" my back is almost back to normal. I get to spend time with my chickens in the back of the yard, it was difficult because of vines and not being able to walk with my back. I am able to lift my legs without discomfort and walk over the vines. I have a new section of yard I want the hens to explore. I am getting some new chicks in a couple of weeks; they are fun to watch their personalities emerge.

I weighed myself, not any weight loss, but no weight gain, so I must be stalled. I will start "IF" starting tomorrow and try that for a week, to see if I lose weight again. The first 10-15 lbs is always water weight and easy to get rid off. I am losing inches, I can tell. That means fat loss which is what I am going for.

Day 24 I had to find the missing hens, who jumped over the back fence, they found a fallen tree, and used it as a ladder to climb over the fence.
