It appears that the only way I can add pictures from my iPhone to my Journal is through the Food Journal section of the FS App, unless I'm missing something. I think I can insert a link also, but that's a pain.

Anyways,
I had an early meeting today, but managed to get up and do my 25 minute cardio / weights circuit workout which is way better than nothing. I used to have this mentality that if I couldn't run 4-5 miles or lift weights for an hour, then what's the use of working out. Which caused me not to work out on many, many, days.

Right now, I'm more interested in regaining my strength and gaining control over my eating habits than losing weight. If I get myself properly organized and disciplined, the weight loss will come. This time around, the focus is preparing my meals, bringing my lunch and snacks to work, and limiting the amount of times I eat out. This would be a great start for me.

When I was younger, I could eat whatever, workout and the weight would fall off. Now I have to monitor my diet. And sometimes I discover that I don't eat enough, vs over eating.

I have figured out a way to simplify the use Exercise Journal here on FS, and keep it somewhat in sync with my Polar Flow app. The reason why want to do this is because it will raise my awareness about how much I am moving around (or not) during a typical day.

I'm an IT analyst and I sit at a desk and attend meetings where I'm also sitting most days. I have to make a conscious effort to get up and walk throughout the day. I love my Polar Loop and my Polar A300 activity trackers because they give me a nice little nudge after I have been sitting for 1 hour. If I don't get up and move, I get an "inactivity stamp". My goal is to avoid those little stamps. I have been collecting a few of them over the past months.

The Polar Flow app tracks the following Activities / Positions:
- Sleeping / lying down
- Sitting
- Standing
- Walking (slow)
- Walking-running (moderate - fast)

It also tracks other things such as number of steps, distance walked during the day, active time and kCal (total calories burned during the day)

The kCals on the Polar app are much lower than they are here on FS when I match up the activities as I listed above. I plan to match my default exercise values here up with my Polar app and just plug in my exercise for the day. This will simplify my tracking efforts.
