52 and on a quest to fight the middle age spread. Determined to fight middle age in general. Had operation to remove gallbladder 18 months ago following closely after a spell in hospital while they diagnosed me. This year had 4 months off work with a bad back and stress related blood pressure etc. So....cut a long story short not been moving enough, eating too much and not necessarily right things. That is why I call my regime 'Eat less, eat better, move more'. And so far lost around 24 pounds in 2 months. Think it will slow now as that amount of weight is a natural sort of zone for my body to put on and take off. What's left is more long standing. So to complete the bio, married, 2 teenagers and live in Yorkshire UK. Work in a school as a Buildings supervisor so now I'm back at work I am naturally moving a lot more. Message me anyone if you like to chat over anything.

Eating under recommended calorie intake
I guess the other question is whether the diet is a for now diet or a for life diet. There is no way that very low calorie intake can be healthy long term but if it is a means to a short term end then make the decision based on the results you are obtaining. If you are looking to re-educate your body into a longer term diet change then a more calorific and slower weight loss would make more sense. As someone said above listen to you body and when its no longer working for you try something different.

Waisting away
Measured waist this morning first time in few weeks and may not sound great but 41 and a half inches is great news when I started at 45. Still way off the recommended max and way off what I want to be (want to get back to 38 at the most) but I'll take it for now.Very Happy
