So, it's been awhile since I wrote in a journal, but I feel I'm pretty good at writing (at least with stream-of-conscious writing), so I think I'm going to make this journal an active part of my weight loss journey so that it will hopefully work this time. I had stoppede journaling previously because my words carried lots of drama, and I gave all that up about 8 years ago. Marriage and two beautiful girls later and I'm up to 266. It's unbelievable actually because I maintained a weight of 257 for quite a few years, and then I got pregnant with my first, and didn't care too much, ballooned to 284, and then back down to 257 3 years later. In June of 2010, I started a program with hubby, only to become pregnant again. I guess it was the 16 pounds of weight loss. But I had gotten down to 241, and was feeling great. I tried to maintain the healthy eating habits, but then my baby was measuring small, so I ate and ate, got put on bedrest and ballooned to 290. I'm now down to 266, and she's completely healthy, but still measuring small, so every time I drop my calories, I'm afraid she'll stop gaining weight, even though I'm only dropping my calories to a normal intake. It's beyond frustrating. I'm really tired of being fat, and feeling lethargic, and I'm tired of excuses like my emotions for overeating and my disability for not exercising, but my baby's health is a legitmate excuse, and still I want to cut my eating down. So, that's what I've decided to do, and hubby is joining me. I just hope that I can lose while my baby girl still gains.
