I am excited to start using this application to support my healthy habits. I meet with a trainer 3x a week and do cardio 5x a week (weekends off). I feel more energized and am toned underneath my cushy but my weight has not gone down and I gained most of it very rapidly. The doctor thinks that it is stress related and negative calories (1000-1100) so I am going to use this application to monitor the food that I am putting into my mouth and make sure I am at least 1300 cals+.
I was raised with a 'diet' mentality.. When I was only 120lbs I was obsessed with being 'thin'.. not having hips.. and well.. it was just unhealthy. My mother taught me the OLD dieting ways of restricting calories.. but 800-1000 isn't enough!!! We need 800cals for our brains to function!
Now that I am older, I am proud of curves and will embrace them as I lose my weight. I feel like I needed to get this big in order to fully accept myself. Now that I do, I am ready for the change. I am focused, determined, and excited. I am doing everything properly so I'm just waiting for it to melt off.. my body is probably wondering what the heck is going on and holding onto the weight.. I am just STARTING to increase the calories now, rather than being so afraid to do so. Because I would restrict myself so much, I would tend to eat the worst things on the menu when going out to eat. This time, I will make healthy decisions/alternatives and not restrict myself so much that I want to eat a boat of nachos. :) Let the results begin!!!
Sidenote: I will probably weigh-in once a week on the boyfriends scale.. haven't decided but his seems a lot more accurate and that way I go by weekly results rather than being scale obsessed with my strange scale everyday! :)
