I'm originally from So Cal, now living in Atlanta.

A 40 something professional, I like to run -I've done 4 half marathons- but now I want to move into the Triathlon world, to minimize the constant pounding from the running and to mix it up for fun! I also love P90X!

I'm still trying to lose the same 10 pounds that I've been trying to lose for a while now, but it's just not budging! I was a personal trainer/spinning instructor and practiced Ashtanga yoga in my previous life. I never thought the day would come when I would become one of those clients that I used to train all the time about what they should and shouldn't be doing. I guess I didn't prepare enough for this day. Which day? The day where I finally understand what they meant by it's not easy to just lose weight when you get older.

The quest must continue, as I will not settle. I hope to meet my goal, and then move on to enjoy the rest of my life.

Today's Motivation!
I want to lose 10 by 10.31.11 as well! Last year at that time I was 147, so the goal is to be at 145. 6 weeks - here we come!

I will strength train 3x per week.
I will cardio train at least 30 minutes 3x per week.
I will do the MOVE challenge once for 5 days during the 6 weeks.
I will transition to OWL!
I will be positive!

How do you get in your 12-15nc of veggies?
that's correct! in Atkins, the big ta-do is about how many net carbs you are having.

Vitamin D Mega Doses
wearing sunscreen makes you not absorb vitamin d? what if you only wear it on your face and shoulders/chest? isn't there enough skin to absorb it elsewhere? Lord knows I have enough surface area for that! or is she saying that we try to completely block it by avoiding the sun?
