How does this diet look?
Ahh...wait...1200 is maintenance? I guess you could substitute oatmeal with chia seeds for one meal if you pick a 6" rather than the foot long. (Oatmeal is cheap. Runs me about $3 a month.)

It sounds like a good plan to me. You might want to try to add a cup of cooked oatmeal with chia seeds if you want the extra protein. Plus it should keep you right around that 1200 calorie per day goal.

Am I eating too little calories?
World Health Organization's recommended daily allowance of Sugar=Carbs=Starch for Men is 38gms per day...for Women it's 25gm


I don't want to contradict you, but I'm a little worried that someone might read this and think that they should limit total carb intake to 38g or 25g per day. I believe WHO recommends these limits for sugar intake. Sugar is a carb. But, carbs are also comprised of fiber. It is recommended as a woman that you consume 25 grams of fiber per day. I get that not everyone is on the same diet plan. For instance, Atkins recommends lower carb intake. Yet vegans/vegetarians take in a much higher amount of carbs. I just wanted to clarify that all carbs are not the enemy.

Road race
Ah yeah...and this is how the addiction begins....

Next thing you know, it will be a half-marathon, full marathon and a triathlon.... Hello Race Entry Fees, Goodbye Money. Smile

***Just a note: weight will come off as long as you keep the diet in check. You can't outrun a bad diet. I'm struggling with that part currently.
