I just turned 50 and have been on FatSecret for many years. It is sad for me to read over my struggles with my weight.

I have struggled with my weight for my entire life even though there have been periods when I was thin - I was still always obsessing and afraid I was going to gain the weight back, and I have.

Almost 10 years ago I got married and that seemed to even throw more fuel on the weight struggle. My hubby is not thrilled (to say the least) that his thin wife has balloon from 132 to 196! I'm sure you can understand he feels I did the "bait and switch" on him.

Say what you want, but guys are visual creatures. I think it stinks that just because I'm not a size 4 any more that he doesn't respond to me the way he used to, but it's the truth. PLUS, I HATE being this size! I had cute clothes I could wear but I can't any more so I wear a stupid pair of black pants all the time.

Thing is, even when I was a size 8 before, I still looked horrible in a bathing suit! Then I got down to a size 4 and I still looked bad. And I am not just saying this, even my sister confirmed it. I so depressed because I worked hard to lose weight and then still didn't look like the girls on TV and in magazines.

But since I'm just 5'2" I think I need to be around 115 or so and when I was a size 4 I was still around 130lbs. Ask me if I've ever been that small as an ADULT woman? Nope, only in high school and even then I thought I was fat.

Go figure.

UPDATE: In Feb. 2015 I found hCG and started on the 18th. I have lost nearly 40lbs on this protocol and LOVE it! For the first time in many years, I feel like I I can finally get some control. I LOVE that hCG is reshaping my body, accessing the abnormally-stored fat that never left even when I weighed 130lbs.

I am excited to see the real changes in my body's shape and am looking forward to being able to fit back into my wedding dress at our 10-year anniversary party on Dec. 18th!

How Often Do you weigh yourself?
EVERY day. Women's weight can fluctuate up to 5 pounds depending on time of month. If you chart your weight daily on a calendar, you will see your own body's rhythms and cycles.

This is very helpful because if you only weigh yourself once a week and it happens to be a day when, let's say, you are retaining water, it can be very frustrating and may even derail your efforts.

By weighing daily and recording the numbers, at the end of 7 days you just add up all the weigh-in numbers from the past week, divide by seven, and you will have a more accurate idea of your weight. This system has really helped me understand my own body fluctuations.

I do not look at this as being a slave to the scale but instead the scale is a source of information and education. When I see a lower number than the day before, it encourages me to stay the course. If I see a higher number, it helps me to be more faithful to my program.

hungry soon after eating.
For sure it's the carbs you are eating. Get a book called The Formula by Gene Daoust. They give you meal plans using real food and it is amazing how you just are not hungry. When you are hungry quickly after eating, it is because you are spiking your blood sugar levels with carbs and then the blood sugars drop dramatically you are feel like you are staving.

i bought a pair of size 8 jeans.
Congratulations!!!!! That is SO awesome!

I remeber a time when I was dieting and went to Kohl's to get a new pair of dress pants. I started with 12 but they literally fell off. I went out and got 10s and 8s and when the 8s fit, I just started to cry. I could not believe it.

Enjoy your new body. ;o)

Break"FAST" suggestions, please....
I love the veggie quiche cups from Phase I. They are so easy for a quick breakfast. I am not used to eating in the morning and these are perfect. Something quick and easy. I made them on Sunday night and have eaten them every day. Takes 25 seconds to heat them up in the microwave.

Buddy wanted
I'd love to have some female buddies for support as well! I am not on SB but an on the Zone/Formula -- it was South Beach before SB came along.

You can read my bio, but in short I am 5'2" currently 161 lbs (down from 164 - yeah!) and have my 25th high school reunion and my 15th college reunion (from my masters).

No kids, but we do have 4 cats.
