Just be aware on connection between protein and IGF1 hormone. IGF1 is not bad (and protein too :-) ), but excess may have negative effect. It's better to keep protein moderate and replace carbs (if you want to do it) with fat.

Hi Dimavs thanks for your comment it was educative for me, so appreciate time you took to write that. I was not aware of the connection between protein and IGF but I have just researched in google. I will work on my long term diet and hope my high protein quickfix diet does not hurt me in the short term.

No worries. Sorry, didn't want to scare you with IGF1 :-). IGF1 is perfectly fine hormone and we actually need it. But cause it's a "growth" hormone it promotes growth of any cell.
Just people who limit carbs tend to compensate with more protein (which is also not bad, just questionable in terms of longevity). Take a look at this article http://physiqonomics.com/fat-loss/, this guy describes in a funny way how to calculate your macro goals. The main idea - fix protein value and play with carbs/fat. Good luck!

No need to limit carbs to such extend unless you are doing KETO diet which assumes no carbs at all. The perfect split for me is 40% protein and carbs with fats split equally (30% for each). Important thing is quality of your fats and carbs.

Hi Lisa you are correct the carbs are too low, I am looking to change that in a few weeks. Right now my body is responding well to restricted carbs with no energy deficit. I am putting down a list of healthy veg and fruits to add in the diet. Once complete I will look to add but probably after I have lost 5 more kilos, but will see how I go mentally and physically.
