It has been a bad year as you can see I haven't been on fat secret in 8 months it although I have been watching my weight. In between May and June I had gone done to 221 and then my Dad died and I gained 12 lbs in a month. I decided it was time to get back on the horse I am going to try to stick to 1200 calories a day.
232.2 lb Lost so far: 35.0 lb.    Still to go: 82.2 lb.    Diet followed poorly.

You have to write down all of your calories. It will really help keep at 1200 or below if you have a little notebook to jot down all that you eat. Carry it with you in your purse.

try low carb. you don;t have to restrict your calories that painfully low. it has been the best way for me to melt fat.

So many of us know liss, and how easy it is to turn to food as comfort! It sounds like you're moving out of the acute stages of grief and returning to day-to-day routines. It's time to take care of yourself. Be kind to yourself.

I'm 63, too (64 in November) and have struggled with my weight all my life. I was 285 at my heaviest, 117 pounds from a "normal" BMI of 168. (I'm 68.75" tall now -- used to be 69.5"!) I lost a lot but stalled at 225-230. Now, I have 45.5 pounds to go, and I'm determined to complete my journey. You can do this, Mysteryshopgirl! It's simply YOUR TURN.
