I had eaten well all week until yesterday. Yesterday I needed food and didn't have time for healthy choices, so I ate fried food (chicken, shrimp, cheese sticks) from Walmart's food bar. Don't judge me, it tasted good at the time :-) It didn't seem to do too much damage. I'm having a hard time finding food to keep with me which doesn't need refrigeration and isn't a high-carb bar. Any suggestions?

I always use my lunchbox and freeze an ice pack. As long as it's inside and not outside it'll keep food cold. That's what I do on mon-Friday.

Walmart sells nuts and fresh fruit, too. I always carry a bottled water, an apple and a ziplock bag of nuts in my purse for emergencies because they won't perish quickly.

Nuts are good; also jerky. Just stick with low-sodium varieties and watch your portion sizes.

Nuts, cheese, and jerky. I always keep nuts handy while I'm on the go, because they don't spoil, and just a handful satisfies my hunger in a pinch.
