Getting back onto Ketonic diet because the Atkins style diet works, and I am not hungry on it. Well, except when I add carbs of double digit levels. Then I can feel the hunger kick in! Lost 12 pounds since the end of March. 4 of that since the end of May. What I gained back in April corresponded with lapses in diet. I am past the conclusion and working on acceptance that _my_ body over reacts with an insulin spike over reaction to even barely double digit grams of carbs in a meal.

Which means that it does not matter if other people can eat all that junk, or even that I could when I was young, I can't, and will not give into peer pressure to eat like that anymore. Eating like a person with an unbroken metabolism makes me feel sick now, and pack on weight because I am not metabolizing sugar / starches in significant amounts correctly anymore.

And based on when I started gaining weight, and that I went diabetic with each pregnancy, have not been metabolizing carbs well for years now.

So like my one grandfather, who was IDDM, sugars, breads, anything starchy, starchy veggis are now like poison to me. He used to say that after eating years like I do now, it was no more difficult for him to watch people pour sugar into their coffee than it would be for him than if they were Martians, and were adding powdered arsenic to their beverages - it was just as deadly, and therefore unappetizing to him, though both are sweet powders.
152.0 lb Lost so far: 41.0 lb.    Still to go: 22.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
