My weight was lower yesterday, but it is what it is today....my actual weigh in day! Steady as she goes.

I have been navigating the stormy seas of elder care a wee bit better. Finding what really stresses me out helps...time crunches, having to be in two different places at the same time and finding time to take care of myself is tricky. Timing is everything. Old folks are like toddlers, only they weigh a lot more. There comes a time when you must make nearly all their decisions, yet present it like they are deciding... I recognized what made me so upset a few days ago, my mother-in-law really hurt my back and I was really angry as I work hard to manage my back. And doing my father's paperwork freaked me out because It presented a snapshot of what's to come. He is very capable and organized to the MAX, but it is a big responsibility!

Back on the weight loss front, I feel I am more dedicated as to what I am putting in my mouth and really and gonna start working on some activity and strength training. Thanks for listening, Good luck in all of your endeavors!

Stress is a killer, but now you have a handle on what the cause is. Keep reminding yourself that you are just one person, and you're doing the best you can. If you weren't around, there would be other solutions. Taking care of you is priority #1! Because if you don't you won't be able to take care of anyone else.

My favorite Buddhist saying, "Give what you can, not more than you've got" Sending big hugs of support your way!

Egull1 I love your Buddhist saying. It sums up what I need to do in so many areas of my life right now.

Been there. It is rough and rewarding at the same time, but very demanding. Eventually, I had to figure what I could hand off to some professional caretakers and I think I managed to find some balance.
