Teacupsmom's Journal, 15 June 2016

I'm surprised to see the drop this morning...I've been averaging about a pound a day! I sure have not been too good about making my numbers. I know that I will eventually hit a plateau, but my scale is inspiring me...along with fitting into and feeling comfortable in a pair of shorts I used to only wear after a shower, or when I would go fishing...boyfriend may not have liked them, but they were the sun catcher shorts lol. Yesterday, it felt like reuniting with an old friend when I put them on after my shower! It's a good feeling. I can't thank any of you enough for the ideas, encouragement and suggestions!

Is a plateau expected with LCHF? You might be able to ride this wave for a long time. Congrats on the sun catcher shorts!

Thank you Lady! I don't know if it's expected...it might just be my pessimism showing through? I know that one of the girls at work has plateaus quite often with her diet..she is low carb too..but I think that she is going for the under 50 grams a day...not worrying about the high fat part of it either. AND she runs on her treadmill a couple of times a week... So far, I have not added any "real" exercise to my day...Not sure my joints are ready yet, but I can tell there is a difference in pain levels!

We all hit plateaus, our bodies struggle to maintain "homo stasis" sometimes you have to jolt it to get it to continue, mine seems to respond to a short term increase in carbs, by short term I mean a single meal with the carb macros higher than the fat and protein.

Save your joints. "Eat less, move more" to lose weight is a myth. It's about what and when you eat. I watched Dr. Jason Fung on Youtube. Very eye opening!

He truly is Lady, his hypothesis follows my own diet experience to a T, some of the time I felt like he had been writing about me specifically. Now I have a reference point to build my success on, the path to healing and good health is wide open....
