Starting Day 1 of the Potato hack at 150.8

Not bad, I am actually happy I maintained. I built a garden with my boyfriend this weekend. Setting it up took 2 days of outdoor labor, sore muscles and some sunburn. But I got a crazy good workout in and I did not eat too much. I found now I can go without food longer without getting headaches. Pretty happy with that.

I also enjoyed some coconut bliss icecream and sushi this weekend without gaining much at all!

Yep it's garden time again. We had so much brush taken away, I really want to get things going, but it can get very hot here in the summer. Easily can burn your plants away.

@Warren- where are you from? It gets pretty hot here but I don't know if its hot enough to kill plants unless you forget to water. THis is my first garden. I am excited and nervous. A lot to learn!

@Rockiesfan The potato hack is basically where you eat JUST potatos for a given amount of time for fat loss and weight loss. You can do it for 305 days or up to two weeks. There is a book on amazon all about it. How to do it, the science behind why it works. All about the RS-resistant starch benefits of it etc. Just type in potato hack in amazon search to get the book or google it. Many bloggers blogged about their journey with the potato hack- there is also a huge form on marks daily apple's form all about it. Take a look there for details too

You ONLY eat potatos? lord I like them but for every meal, that's too much...

Yep only potatoes. No butter oil etc. HOWEVER there are variations to the hack- he lists them in the book. One variation is cooking your potatoes with a little bit of oil or butter. But he suggests doing the original hack first- because its known for the most success. So far I am at lunch and I am doing fine. I think I can do only potatoes as long as I cook them differently each time. This morning I made them into crispy baked fries

Panigale, I am in California and our summers get toasty, up to 110+ sometimes. It stays around the teens during summer so you do have to water more. You mostly have to watch where your plants are because mine have gotten burnt to a crisp before. I moved them and they recovered. Any garden questions feel free to ask me. I'm a container gardener for the most part but I can do normal ones too. :) Been doing it 25 something years now. :)

@cnith oh wow I did not know that could actually happen!! I only know one other gardener that is actually experienced as well. Shes a family friend- authentic italian and always grows beautiful veggies. My main concern is bugs. Do I have to prep my garden before I plant in it for bugs? What should I do to prevent bad bugs ? That is my biggest worry of all. Also do scarecrows actually work?
