Wow. What a road thru hell I'm going. this I'd not fun. it's 8 or 9 weeks post accident and in still no where near where I used to be. I still can't work like I used to. I still can't do all things around the house like I used to. I can't do too much or I start to get "symptoms", which for me is muscle spasms from my neck to my head. I'm not allowed to do that, I can't get my blood pressure up, because that puts too much blood into my head and I get symptoms. All from the concussion and whiplash. I go to physical therapy 3 days a week. it's been a long long road and still a long road to go. :-( But, I'm here! So it could have been much worse. I'm count my blessing each day and my kids are my daily motivation. It was 5 weeks of sitting, I was not allowed to carry anything, pick up anything or even look up. 2 days before thanksgiving I found out the final result from the battery of scans. CT scan at first hospital, then MRI'S of my head and neck and a MRI of my head, those came back fine, then my neurologist sent me for a MRI of my neck. Thankfully that can't neck fine and she sent me for physical therapy. I still have a long road to go, but I'm getting there. obviously with the weight gain, you can tell I've still been using food as my crutch. But now I'm trying very hard to be better. Well, for the last 2 days I have. Lol. Lol. I'm blessed to have 2 of the world's best kids, that have been by my side, helping me all along the way and a work for 2 great companies that I get 100% support from. So I'll continue to count my blessing and you all are included in my blessings! Than you all for all of your support and well wishes. I may never get back to 100% But I hope top get back to 99.9%. Love to all of you and I wish you a belated thanksgiving, a merry Christmas and a happy New year, and e what ever other traditions you celebrate. Thank you!!!!! Mel

Hang in there. You have to have the calories to heal. Sorry to hear about the accident. Somehow I missed it.

First priorities is to make sure that you're healthy and that you don't try to do anything let the doctors tell you you shouldn't be doing for yourself and for your kids a couple of pounds not a problem as soon as you get your health back you can address those maybe a little smarter eating finding something to snack on that doesn't have the caloric impact

I tried to restart my diet in March of 2014, but had too much stress with my health to really endure going through induction at that time. My cardiologist found a clot in my heart the next month and it took me over a year before I was really prepared to embark on the diet I've been on for the last six months. Heal first, then worry about the rest of it.

So very to hear about your accident. My 22 year old nephew was in an accident in August, and is paralyzed from the waste down. I continue to try to tell him that his body needs the right nutrition to heal. Same goes for you. Take care of yourself! You are in my thoughts and prayers! *hugs*
