Good Morning, FS Warriors! I couldn't be happier with the drop this morning, but I've been here before. It just goes to show just how overindulgent I have been. I always have a good drop when I first start my diet, after having reached a record high. Don't get me wrong; I'm not complaining. I just know how this works, and i don't get unrealistic expectations that this is going to occur on a regular basis. Let's see, at 7 lbs. per week, it's going to take me only 7 weeks to reach my goal. Haha, don't I wish! But I did get rid of that huge bloated feeling this week, and that is a plus.

Last night was pretty uneventful for me. DW made black eyed peas, ham and cornbread. It was probably good that she made it on a Thursday. Knowing that I was going to weigh in the next morning gave me a little more resolve. I can eat some black eyed peas, ham and cornbread! One of my favorites. It used to be that we had pinto beans for that meal, but ever since I introduced DW to black eyed peas over 30 years ago, we have kind of adopted it as our standard for a complement to cornbread. Anyway, just one helping last night; I'm still sticking to the strategy to give myself time to feel full before shoveling another helping down the chute. Seems to be working. I've had a few late night cravings this week, but managed to curb them with a helping of pretzel sticks or some other low cal snack. Even there, I have to be careful, because there is a tendency for one little snack to lead to another, until I have sabotaged an entire day of disciplined eating. But it's not like that has ever happened before! Haha; like every time!

Last night was pretty uneventful otherwise. Worked out on the Ultimate Workout bench, changed out the cat litter boxes, and spent a little time practicing some vocals, i.e., just plain taking it easy. Watched the guy win on "Alone," (the show to see who can survive out in the woods the longest). I'm not sure I get it though; the winner only went eight weeks before all the other contestants threw in the towel. I must be missing something though, because it would seem that just about any of my old army buddies with elementary survival skills would have considered that a cake walk. But, the times, they are a changin! Well, on that note of even less than condescending praise, I'll leave you with this: Have a wonderful day, and an even better weekend! Toodles!

Thanks, Guys! I am grateful for the quick drop; it's a morale booster, but we know that it's the average over the long haul that makes it happen. I've got to get a handle on this lifestyle change, or I'll be playing this yo-yo crap the rest of my life. I did not get through everything in this life only to be defeated by some propensity to proliferate fat cells. Haha! I am going to bring those little bastards into submission if it kills me.
