clydebrown's Journal, 26 April 2015

At times it's like someone takes over my body and mind and I have no control myself. Eating all that garbage for days and I fell like crap. How many time can I do this. I know eating healthier makes me feel better, less tired and more happy. You would think knowing that, I would always eat heathier! Then for some unknown reason I or whatever takes over my thought process stops by the drug dealers place (inset any food buffet...) I'm telling myself NO but I go anyway and spiral out of control. Well the plan for today is to prepare myself for success and positive thought the weeks ahead.

Clyde, Try to plan your meals ahead so that you don't have to give into temptation. I know that it Is easier said than done but make your meals interesting. If your meals is something to look fwd to, you will want to eat it and not unhealthy stuff. I don't know your medical history but maybe try to get a script from your GP for Duromine. I got it 3 months back and it worked wonders for me. It don't take away the hunger so you still eat but it takes away your craving for certain stuff. Sometimes I don't even feel like eating at all but I know I have to. So I then just eat a salad or cup a soup or even a few crackers with cottage cheese and Avo. I've lost 9 kilos since. Everyone needs to do what works for them and this works for me. I have 11 to go and can't wait for it to drop. Good luck to you and keep us posted!

Clyde you're not alone. There's a lot of us here who have that same struggle at different times. As Glen said don't let the past get you down....it's done and over but the future is whatever you make it. Just make today a good one.

I've been in this situation so many times - I eat junk and then think well I've done it now may as well eat everrrrytthiinnnggg, and like you said this spirals out of control, then for days after I feel guilty and crap that I've undone all my hard work. I've started trying to remind myself how disgusted I feel during the aftermath when I am debating whether to carry on with the junk food. I hate feeling crap about myself and so this acts as a deterrent. :)

And then I feel so proud of myself afterwards that I didn't give in :)
