This is so disheartening. R and I have followed our diets so well. We probably only eat less than 1800 calories most days, stick to low fat, high fiber, lots of veg, we make our own hamburger buns from lentil and hand ground oat flour. We regularly have 1500 calorie days. We also work toward eating within a 10 hour window and fasting from around 6pm to 9am the following morning (15 hour daily fast). But, still we don't lose weight. Or, we lose it very slowly.

I've sort of given up on the micro-counting of calories and try to just eat reasonably. I'm aware of the calories, but moving toward smaller portions and eating something good when hunger flares - carrots, apples, a banana. My current go-to is nori sheets and occasionally a 1/2 tbsp of sunbutter.

Going to just go with less packaged/manufactured veggie burgers and such. But, on the whole, it appears to be hopeless.

I attribute my weight gain to experimenting with adding in organic blue corn chips to my diet. Even though the calories were accounted for, the weight went up. Also, tried to add crunchy cookies. Again, even though the calories were accounted for, the weight went up.

Going to add more treats, but only made of real veg and grains. Found a decent oatmeal cookie that cooks up crunchy.

Part of this weight gain is likely that we discovered Lakanto sweetener / erythritol now has a serious health warning because of heart complications - actually sudden heart failure - so we stopped using it. This changed many of the accommodations we had in place.

Also, we just wear out. After so long being compliant on this diet, every once in a while we just have something off the books. Actually, those departures seem to be in line with actually losing a bit of weight. So, I'll try to keep that in mind.

your body adapted to the changes you've made. scheduled "refeed" days 1-2 days, one time a month is extremely helpful. you eat closer to maintenance for a day or 2.
