CHOCOLATE CHIPS DID ME IN🥵. I usually buy the dark semi sweet chocolate chips for protein muffins and decided to buy guittard milk choc extra large chips. Then thought might be a good idea to have 1/4 cup as a treat. Then another. Then another. Then half the bag. Clearly i have to continue on the no threatening foods in the house. Dark semi sweet not a threat. Yummy high quality milk chocolate big threat. Crap. When will i fully change?

Sometimes we have to accept that we will never have the self control to allow certain foods back in our diet again. I left bread behind, and I have made my peace with that. I have eaten a thin person’s lifetime’s worth of it; had a good run 😄. Perhaps chocolate is your Achilles heel?

Chocolate and ice cream. Call me Achilles.

Waiting to see if it changes the scale in the next couple days. Which will be fine but only this one time.

I'm right there with you! Mine was trail mix with M&M's. Joe bought it and I thought well I'll just have a handful...yeah, right! 4 handfuls later ...oh well hit the gym yesterday and today. I stayed with light weights and rode bike. Still a decent w/o!

I thought I was the only one who has done that! I love your honesty. 💕

Diana, I guesstimated on the calories. Put me well over 2000 calories yesterday and weight more or less stayed the same (ish) so i probably got away with it this one time but i wish i could be one of those people that can just have one bite of _____ (fill in the blank). Whoever solves that riddle in the brain will be o so wealthy. Excellent job on your workout. You feeling like your old self?

I just have to keep sweets out of house. The only thing I do indulge in is low carb/ sugar. I can have one scoop and then put it away for 3-4 days. I usually have a scoop 2xs a week. I had a hard time in pump and only did 20 lbs on all exercises. I am feeling pretty tired most of time. I just want to get this day ne with...💜

Swap those suckers for sugar free, binge once and I promise you won’t do that one again. It’s a horrible experience.

You’re not alone. Same here except with potato chips. Ate half a bag of family size ruffles cheddar and sour cream last night ☹️ can’t not keep it around bc of the kids. Sigh

I try not to buy certain things...so I understand completely. Sometimes I do really well...other times not so much 😳 Ice cream can be an issue for me ❤️

Chitamitafit-you can NOT keep that stuff in the house. My daughter grew up without unhealthy food in the house. We would go out for hot fudge sundaes sometimes but there were no chips, ice cream, cookies, cakes etc except during the holidays. You are setting the example for them when they are young you are not depriving them. Think of it with a mindset toward healthy examples. Will they whine and complain in the beginning? Probably but you are the adult. You can make those changes. Not said with judgement just compassion.

I am the same way. Right now my biggest weakness is Hawaiian bread dinner rolls. I will buy the package of just 4 rolls and tell myself it's doing can eat just part of the roll if I need to take a Motrin for pain in the middle of the night. Then I get home and eat all four rolls. Then when I have leg pain in the middle of the night I need to find something else since I have to have food when I take the Motrin. Usually a couple o!ives

Katsolo i can have the dark semi sweet or just dark chocolate and it’s no threat. It’s that dang milk chocolate that gets me. I just thought i would be ok. Clearly i needed to think again.

Fritzy i get it. We never have threatening food in the house for reasons like you said. Not nearly as much fun to think about snacking on egg whites or carrot sticks in the middle of the night.

Rc-ice cream is definitely my number 1 enemy. Like public enemy number one. Even sugar free fat free i would probably down it all till gone. I can remember buying ice cream telling myself i would have a normal serving and then having to drown the carton in hot water till melted because i kept going back for more. Just not doable for me.

Katsolo-was that a “must be near bathroom” experience?

I hear all of you Loud and Clear! I thought I knew the foods that I can't be trusted to have in the house (ice cream, candy and chips). Turns out honey roasted sunflower seeds are on the list too. I just munched my way through 6 oz. at 160 calories per ounce! Good thing we spent time at the pumpkin patch and corn maze. It was the evil place where I was tempted. I agree, you're not doing your kids any favors when you keep sweets and chips in the house. Better they learn that those are special occasion foods. Then they don't have to loose the weight later.

That and wishing for a quick death.
