Hello and Happy Saturday FS!
Well, wobbled down a tad.
Well, today has been interesting. Went on my walk and at about 6500 steps, I got bit by a dog. Ugh. The lady was bringing in her trash cans and had the leashed dog. I popped into the road so she could go straight to her driveway and garage. Then I popped back to the sidewalk to continue my walk. Apparently, I should have remained in the road a few more seconds as the dog, on a retractable leash, came after my leg. I didn’t think to ask for vaccination records. I didn’t think it was that bad. Walking a bit more, the area started to sting and I realized that my skin was broken. I couldn’t get a hold of hubby who was home working in the garage so I called my neighbor and asked if if he was home, could he yell over and ask hubby to call me. Hubby arrived, took me to Urgent Care, where they cleaned and bandaged my leg, gave me a tetanus shot, prescribed antibiotics and told me if I don’t get proof that the dog was vaccinated for rabies, I would need to begin treatment/shots, sooner rather than later, and I needed to contact the health department. Good news, was able to get proof of vaccination! I am so Blessed and thankful! I had made fudge for our Easter gathering tomorrow so I package up some for the dog owner. She was so surprised and nice. Her Buddy had never done anything like before and she knew I didn’t provoke hi. Also, surprised I was giving her a treat for her dog biting me. Sorry this is so long but I’ve literally had this journal open all day and just got back to it again.
