I've been in the midst of a fat fast, AND doing an experiment. I 've been consuming real sugar in my fat coffee. Just 1/2 tablespoon of sweetenered creamer per cup to lightly sweeten it cause unsweetened coffee is just nasty. So far I've lost 2.8 lbs.. so far the result is no hindered weight loss. Which mean, if I lose a little more weight tomorrow too (Last day of my fat fast) that I can have this creamer which contains natural sugar. I quit all artificial sweeteners as they stalled me big time. So no going back to those, but real sugar? Not too bad... so far so good. I'm excited. My first big goal is in sight... 198.. today I'm 202.6 lb.. almost into One-derland.. I think though I need to do one more fat fast before I will setting into the 1's. :) I'm a happy girl!
202.6 lb Lost so far: 47.0 lb.    Still to go: 62.6 lb.    Diet followed 100%.

:).. tomorrow is my last day for this fast. Can't wait for a real meal, but these days are important so I will give them their due. Thanks for the encouragement!!!

Hi Deborah, I had been reading what you wrote about artificial sweeteners and yesterday I stopped them completely, the only thing I used them in was my coffee, but I actually like black coffee. It was how I started drinking it back when I was a teen, but over the years I made it sweeter and sweeter. I was using a full teaspoon of liquid saccharine in each cup of coffee. I have not been stalled as of yet because of it, but I also read that the artificial sweeteners can cause an insulin response and when your body is flooded with insulin, your fat burning shuts down. So thanks for the tip, we are gonna give this a whirl now.

Good for you DeborahFredick. Its been super hard giving up aritifical sweeteners, but I finally started losing weight. So its been a good change for me. Once in a great while I will have Starbucks with some in it, but its rare. I miss so much sweetened coffee. :) Keep it up! YOu can do it.
