Mostly I don't have it in the house but I can't stop myself either

I allow myself 1 piece (1.5" x 1.5") of dark chocolate everyday as long as I didn't go over my calories the day before. Yes, I log that 60 calories too.

Like Abba, I don't keep junk food in the house. If I really want something garbage-carby, I have to go out to get it, which is 99% of the time more hassle than it's worth.

I only buy the mini size. You can have 4 for 160.

when you're craving chocolate it could mean your body is needing magnesium. I'd say get yourself some dark chocolate covered almonds 😋

100% Cocoa Powder (Unsweetened) + Banana 🍌 = Chocolate Pudding. Add Milk for a Shake (( Healthy )) 😋👍

When I want chocolate (which is often), I just log it, like everything else, and adjust the rest of my day to that intake.

Sometimes I freeze it. Then if I really want it I have to plan it or eat it frozen. 🙃

first switch to dark chocolate chips, then wean back to sugar-free chocolate pudding then you can jump out of it. That's how I got off my chocolate bingeing.

Sugar free chocolate pudding! I make the Jell-O brand. it looks like gingerbread batter at first so let it set overnight and it's perfect the next morning. Who can resist chocolate for the holidays? With the pudding you can eat plenty of it.

Go for a walk/ run... bribe yourself that if you do that for 30 min you can still have the chocolate when you finish if you want it.. most times the endorphins/ fresh air/ nature are enough for you to not want it after.

I totally understand your situation! I had a horrible sugar habit that goes back to my high school days. I was so thin that I ate 3 snicker bars daily along with all my meals to try and gain weight. Well that sugar habit continued into my adult life and I finally kicked when I had to hold my self responsible because I was pre-diabetic, high blood pressure, borderline bad cholesterol. So I joined a gym with a trainer 3 years ago and I still turn in food journals and weigh my self weekly. I can honestly say I do not crave sugar as bad. Once in awhile I will fall off the wagon but then I don't get mad at myself I just get back on track with my food. One thing I do almost daily is make a pudding out of chocolate whey protein and put a little fat free cool whip on top with a few sprinkles of dark chocolate mini chips. I eat that at 8 pm as my last snack of the day and to also help get my protein for the day. It does satisfy my sweet tooth. Otherwise in the house there are no sweets anywhere. It is very hard and it took me until I reached my late 50's to finally calm the beast. You can do it too!

I read this book and it talks about shutting your gorda mindset down and growing your thin mindset because that mindset always sabotages your goals. So now anytime I hear that voice say “try one bite it won’t hurt” I just say shut up gorda! It works! I’ve lost 8 lbs so far doing that lol. It’s crazy how much food I was snacking on without tracking and not even realizing it until I started doing that and I realized I was messing up my own progress. Maybe worth a try! Idk
