green tea and protein drinks.

the green tea I take in pill form in the morning with my other pills: naproxen and glucosamine (both for my knee), vit. B12 (because I drink), vitamin E (because I'm postmenopausal) ...soon i'll add vitamin C and/or zinc (because it's flu season).

for breakfast I have a great big mug of black tea or chai, with a heaping T of sugar or local honey (depends on how much I feel like stirring, and if I'm having the tea hot or on ice), and enough heavy cream to make it chestnut colored.

then I toss a bottle of water and a bottle of Ensure or Boost into the truck and go to work for 4 hours. Drink the water thru the day, the protein drink on the way home - that's lunch.

and that fills me up. not hungry the rest of the day, not even for chips. Sometimes I'll have half a bag of sunflower seeds or share a quarter pound of deli ham with my animals. Been making legume-based soups, eat on it for a few days then freeze what's left, nibble on cheese and salads for a few days, then make another. But I do drink, as little as two or as many as six beers or as much as 24oz dry wine, or a couple drinks with bourbon and juice in a day; I like them all.

been doing this for a month or so (lol - the drinking for years). The first few weeks I'd grab something from taco bell or mcd's or subway or Lee's 2 or 3 days a week, now, not so much. Lost 15 lb in 7 weeks. Prior to that I lost 8 or 10 by fasting for a week, I think that was in the spring. This method's easier.

on the weekend my routine is broken and i often don't take morning pills. So then I might scramble some eggs or actually heat the soup. This morning I dug thru the "other" closet to find a pair of jeans that I don't have to constantly tug up.

i feel fine but I'd probably feel better if increase my water intake to the level it ought to be - at least 4 bottles, if not 8 per day.
203.0 lb Lost so far: 17.0 lb.    Still to go: 58.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
losing 0.8 lb a week
