ChrisSpark's Journal, 18 September 2014

Been struggling with my hunger this past week. Combine that with not being able to go swimming and it's been a poor week for the old diet. I don't think I actually gained anything but water weight because I ate a lot of salt yesterday....part of the salty cravings. I find it hard to believe, but it's almost like the sudden change to cooler weather has triggered my body to start packing it in for the long winter ahead, lol. Silly body, doesn't it know that it will still get food even in the winter? Sigh. The Nature Box snacks are delicious and, arguably, healthy, but I just can't have them in the house when the willpower is so weak.

My coworker reminded me that apples are a good filler and are in season now. Really helped. Bulk up with veggies! Good luck.

Chris you can do this The first month of dieting is tough I know I am not a model dieting student, but it does get better, When I was 19 and went to weight watchers, I lost about 30 pounds and kept it off until my later 30's and weight crept up into my 40's- The first month I was GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR, my temper was short and then it got better Some snacks, Healthy ones are grapefruit, apples, oranges, , If you have a sweet tooth like me, sugar free popsicle fudgebars 40 calories Just think you have the nice brisk weather, Florida -Sept and October are two of the hottest months unless there is rain or a hurricane

I have apple trees in my garden. My house is full with them right now. They help me not to crave sweets. When I feel that I want to eat something even when I'm not hungry I just drink a warm beverage like a cappuccino with water or unsweetened tea. Try it, maybe it will help you too. Hang in there :-)

I'm getting back on track. Munching on frozen red seedless grapes and drinking lots of water. I have been getting out for more walks, so that's been good, loving the cool weather (sorry, pwrestlephoto :-). I find I have to stay away from apples, something about them makes me VERY hungry about an hour after I eat them. Thanks all for the support. I've managed to avoid unhealthy snacks since June 28, so I shouldn't really stress about it. I was just getting used to seeing the numbers going down and I've stalled this week. Tomorrow is new day.

That's weird about apples making you hungry. They make me really hungry too. Actually, so does swimming...and probably every other good habit I've ever had.
