Isn't it the craziest thing! I can continue to eat the same, do the same exercise, and gain weight. Then, continuing to eat and exercise the same, lose weight. Don't give up. My sister started at 306 and got stuck for nearly two months in the 290s. She then picked up the pace. Added just a bit of exercise, drank more water, and tweaked her carb intake. She started early June 2014...now in the 270s! Keep focused!

Hang in there - I experienced a month plateau too a while back. Sticking with your program will eventually bust through it.

Replace most of your processed carbs--breads, cereals, even low-cal snack bars with lean protein, up your veggie intake and make sure you get plenty of good fats (omega 3 fats generate the right hormones to lose weight while packaged foods contain all omega 6 fats which drive down hormonal levels and cause you to pack on fat). Start breakfast with protein and low sugar berries or veggies. No processed carbs. The key is keeping insulin low while balancing the hormones which regulate body fat. If you aim to keep your carb range between 100-150 g, and get most of those carbs from veggies, you'd be surprised how your body responds.

It most likely is water retention. Keep drinking, as the sodium will release itself soon.

Do you put dressing or toppings on the salad?

Perhaps cutting your total Carb intake (if you have room to do so) will be helpful in getting over this little or not so little wall. Also you may need to add in exercise specifically light weight training if you are not already doing this. You have had great success keep up the fight!

Yes, I know. I buddied you a few months ago and follow your entries because we both started in April and I'm neck to neck with you -- I've lost about 80 too. Was just trying to help you figure out what was wrong.
