ChrisSpark's Journal, 21 August 2014

The scale finally budged again. Thank goodness. I was having trouble keeping on track without some reward, lol. I know, I know, better health is its own reward, right?? But I'm not feeling that yet, either :-0. I did meet my new doctor today and she seems very supportive of my issues. So we will see if my physical shows any problems. Other than increasing my vitamin D intake, I am just going to keep on doing what I am doing as best I can.

The volunteer that drove me to the Doctor's office was a very nice lady who also attends the local TOPS (Taking Off Pounds Sensibly) meeting and offered to take me to my first meeting and introduce me around, which would help with my anxiety about new places/people. One more positive step to take.

Habits I've changed:
1. Stop eating processed food.
2. Exercise more (swim at least 2 times a week, bike and walk)
3. Increase fruit and vegetable intake (try new vegetables and fruit)
4. Start cooking/baking from scratch.

Habits I am still working on:
1. Stop drinking anything with added sugar (soda, fruit drinks, etc.) Except my one coffee a day.
2. Stop emotional eating.
3. Eating mindfully.
4. Planning meals ahead to help prevent making poor choices.

Wishing everyone a skinny day.

Try cut out more carbs and you will see a difference. Don't eat too much fruit. Don't eat baked food - just my two cents worth :)

Excellent post! Keep going. The scale stops on everyone, you keep going through it. Sometimes it does not bother me at all, I know weight does that. Every so often, it does bother me. In the big picture, you just keep going and it will pass. I have been stuck for 3 weeks at a time. Forget it, we all feel great just being on a healthy food plan and in the big picture, it will work. That is enough! I posted my before and after, 135 pound loss, if you would like the see the pictures. www.mrsratfirelosesweight.com
