It's so hard when you're 'enabled' by others. LoL Alas, it seems that your body has enlisted the aid of your wife! THIS IS WAR!!! :-D

lol! That's too awesome. I've been talking to myself too. I'm starting to think that it listens like my kids.

Could you add a vegetable at dinner to increase your fiber? When my weight stalled last January, I stopped eating toast at breakfast. You could eat one less piece of bread each day and use a leaf of lettuce to make a sandwich.

Cut out the wheat all together! You'll feel better if you don't start dropping the weight!

Now, first of all-- my wife has been very supportive, except for today... lol.. I could not have come this far without her support.. Deb-- thanks for the advice really :-D! The only food that I have not recorded are the salads that I eat.. I have eaten so many salads (and chicken), that I feel like I am going to turn into a chicken salad ;-)... I buy 4 or 5 family packs of premade salads.. and by Thursday rolls around, I have none.. I consider salads as my cheat food.. IN May, on the average I have eaten 67.67 grams of fat, and based on the calorie intake my average should have been 23.32 (this is without the salads)

Lert me know if yelling at your body works! I've ben stuck at the same weight for about EIGHT weeks now!!

I agree with SheaDlady. My husband started going to a wellness clinic one week ago. To be the ever supportive wife <grin> I started an Atkins-like eating plan. It has been one week on <30 carbs a day and 64 oz of water daily. I already feel about 75% better than I did. That is amazing compared to how I used to feel. I'm not wanting to take a nap every afternoon now and I'm sleeping through the night. It is HARD, don't misunderstand, but the way I am feeling makes it worth all the effort. And they tell us that after the second week things get even better as far as cravings, energy levels, etc. Keep it up. Things are better just around the corner. . .

WoW suz-- I am sorry to hear that, my wife encouraged me last night by saying that I should focus on eating right (ok today I blew it, but not beating myself up), exercising.. and trying to do healthier things..and not weight loosing.. but I SLIGHTLY understand your frustration! Hang in there, keep working at it, and I will let you know if it works..

Thanks hoosier436! It has been very frustrating. I had originally lost 185 pounds which I maintained for a while, stopped running for the past three months due to a sciatic back problem and even though I was still eating really well, I gained 15 pounds from just not running! Argh. Now I am back to running and CANNOT budge that 15 pounds!!

Same place as you and also broke down. Went out shopping with my mom and had lunch at Applebees. Had healthy lunch but then Mom decided she wanted to split a dessert. A 1200+ calorie dessert. I did restrain myself enough to only eat a 1/4 of it.

I have found that if all I do is run/jog it is just not enough, I have to do a mix of different exercises to trick my body. So I do the run/jog 3-4 days a wk then the other days I do weights. Still my big problem is FOOD, I just love to eat.. Even when I just ate I still think I want something else. Can someone pull out this sweet tooth, please!!!

Applebees is a good place to go, some good relatively low cal choices and now that you can choose a side salad as an appetizer the 2 for $20 is nice. As long as you skip dessert.....:) Since we're confessing, today a nightmare at work, I broke down and ate a brownie.

Debbie, for your sweet tooth, Kelloggs, and fiber one has great products for it.. Fiber one products averages 90 calories per serving-- yes there are they have products out there that are more.. but compared to "normal" sweet tooth products..the calories are a lot lower..
