Wow wasn't expecting that big of a drop! I'll take it.
I have a couple goals in mind to break up how much I have to lose. The over all number is a lot and kind of turns me off. So my first goal weight to get to is 230 and my second is 215. Both these number I've got to in the past and then gave up on myself.
My sister in law just a had a baby, and she has the ok to start exercising again. So we plan on getting together to walk and she wants to check out the gym I go to as well.
262.0 lb Lost so far: 8.0 lb.    Still to go: 107.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Good idea.. I have the same mindset.. I have so much weigh to loose, it is kind of disheartening.. so I celebrate the mini goals.. I have just past the 40.2 lbs mark today, I bragged it on facebook (and here ;-) ) On my excerises, I keep track of the miles that I use the treadmill and stationary bike-- and when I pass a city, I mention it (my goal is to go from Warsaw In, to Louisville, then to Lincoln to "visit" two of my sisters -- I am on a US Highway now..lol

Awesome job on the weight loss! Right now I walk 3 miles an hour, and I'd really like to get back up to 4. I like setting goals like that as well. It takes your mind of the weight.

Sounds like a great plan, dividing up into smaller goals and getting a partner. You're on the road to success!

Wise move on setting manageable mini-goals. You will totally love how much more energy you'll have. Lucky you on gaining a work-out partner. I've never had much luck with that and have done it solo.

What a great loss! Having smaller goals are great, but don't forget to keep your eye on the prize! If you know what you want and you have the determination you'll get there, we all will! :)
