Wow a week without a weigh in really did me wonders, I was able to gain 3 pounds! (Sarcastic, angry tones.) I mean what the eff! I stuck to the same food, exercise. Maybe weighing myself everyday gives me the extra incentive to get through the next day. Maybe I am retaining water pre cycle weight. Maybe I am going crazy! Most likely its the craziness. I feel like I have to work so so hard for every pound and boom in one week I am backtracking my progress. It is just so frustrating. I have made major progress over the last 3 months and lost over 20 pounds, so why am I getting down on myself (lol getting down on myself). I feel like I just need to take a breather, focus and regroup. Anyone else get the diet blues? I swear if I eat another salad I will go into a murderous rage.
162.6 lb Lost so far: 22.4 lb.    Still to go: 12.6 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Hang in there! I've just joined this site and started this diet...but this is after a lifetime of diets:-(. You've lost 22.4 lbs! That's fantastic! You only have 12 more to go...you can do this!

Look through your journal. Maybe you ate more than you thought. Maybe you ate more sodium laden foods. Could it be hormonal? New medication? Stress? Change in your workout routine? It could be many different things. Nothing wrong with weighing daily as long as you can handle day to day fluctuations. Water weight makes the scale go up and down so much.

I wouldn't worry over it greatly, a slight gain is not anything to be concerned about. If it continues then you may need a change up in your type of exercise and the foods you're eating. And yep, it very well might be PMS. Are you doing weight-bearing exercise? If so then you may be building muscle, which weighs more than fat. The same thing is happening to me this week... not a gain but no loss, either. BUT my clothes are fitting better and I am able to do longer and more intense sets at the gym. Keep up your diet journal and exercise entries, it can help you pinpoint a problem area or give you an idea when you need to bust out of a plateau. YOU GO GIRL!!! Over 20# is awesome!!!

We all struggle, but 20 lbs in 3 months is great progress- better than I've been able to do! If you're fed up with salads, maybe things of different things you may be able to substitute instead or find some ways you can change it up. If you've continued to do the same things in the last week that have helped you to lose the previous 20lbs, then you can rest assured that that weight is NOT fat. Stress, TOM, salt, and just your body's internal processes can cause your weight to bump up for a time, but it will come down.

Thanks for the support and tips everyone! It is probably just water weight, I just needed to vent. :)
