IntuitiveMe's Journal, 15 March 2011

Went up a little, haven't been following the guidelines, but, I'm back on track now.
Ok, it's too hard to always write down everything I eat and my hunger levels. I don't think I will stick to it even if I try again to do it. So, I am just going to record my exercise, weight, and thoughts. and/or struggles or successes. I think that will do my more good anyway.
I am making a big effort to eat more healthy foods, I am trying to get more fiber and drink more water, and work multiple kinds of fruit and veg in every day.
I really want to avoid obsessing about this though, that is my downfall. I'm still weighing daily, a habit I'd like to get out of, once I have been in the swing of things a while.
Remember, there IS no falling off the wagon in Intuitive Eating.
You eat past satisfied or full, you self correct. It's a natural way of eating.
I am going to make more effort toward gentle nutrition, because I have been doing this long enough, and been done with dieting long enough that I am past the stage of wanting to eat all the forbidden food. I don't feel guilty when I eat a fatty food anymore, but I do realize eating a lot of sugar or sugar/fat combos can throw off my true hunger signals, so I am now making an effort to feed my body the things it needs, with a little "play food" to keep me smiling.
I know its annoying to have to post a gain of weight, but,if you think about it 1.6 pounds is not that much, and I am getting back in the swing of it so sometimes it takes a little while to really get down and DO IT.
when I was dieting I would have HUGE weight swings. When it went bad, it REALLY went bad. I'm talking eat the whole carton of ice cream bad. I never did that before the dieting days.
I know dieting doesn't work, and I will never go back.
But sitting around playing the game cube and eating junk instead of real food isn't going to get me the life I want, let alone the weight. I have been getting depressed because I haven't been DOING anything.
So get some exercise, get some sunshine, and feed your spirit and mind.
Do something productive. Don't always dwell on intuitive eating, or you will turn it into a diet.
Things I can do:
read the Bible
crafts with my daughter
start getting ideas for a job when she goes to school this year
study for my license and then TAKE THE DANG TEST ALREADY(I let it expire and it has been expired for several years OMG)
keep up with the housework, it's not fun but it is rewarding to have a clean house
window shop for bento boxes :D
Take Kaelyn out to ride her new bike

I'm sure I will think of more later. Just, try to keep balance in every part of your life, and you will be much happier and healthier.
And that's all I have to say about that. XD
