FitOKay's Journal, 30 March 2014

Ok, so the no tracking was a good thing. Yesterday was my first day actually not knowing what my calories were. Which was nice. I didn't go crazy or anything, from my weigh in it looks like I spent most the time around maintenance. Although some of that may be sodium with water retention. I ate one of my husband's breakfasts for the first time in months yesterday... they tend to be pretty salty, lol.

I have a bridal shower a couple hours away I'll be at today. Today is Sunday so it's my last no tracking day and then I start back normal tomorrow. Hopefully taking this break means next Sunday is really a no tracking day and I can just go forward with that break each week.

How was everyone else's week?

I was doing well until yesterday. We went to see one of the Elite 8 College Basketball games (Arizona vs. Wisconsin). You can't eat right at a sporting event. There were no good choices.

That is pretty true. Sporting events and the like are basically choices among all bad things =( I hope you had a good outing though =)

Hello CalynLZ, I am so proud of your weight loss and your accomplishments. I am glad your health issues are behind you. I am struggling with my eating and I need more support then fatscerets. I join Jillian Michaels program and hopefully it will help me keep a better tract of my eating. Jillian got me staying between 1200 and 13999 calories per day, plus they calculate your calories burned per your exercise. Jillian program has a 30 challenge, it cost $30.00 and if you lose 6% of your body weight you win the pot. My exercising is never less than 4 days a week and my goal were 5 days per week. Jillian program is working out six days per week but 30 minutes per day. I was working out 5 days and 1 hour per day.

I think we all know what we are consuming, especially when it's a lot. good going on the progress.

Funny how men get carried away with salt! My husband made home made burgers yesterday and they were great but I'm sure veeery salty because I was thirsty all night! great job on keeping your food on track while not logging!

That's great that it works out! :) Salt is so addictive Njashka lol. that's part of the reason those beef steaks tasted so great the other day ;)

If that what works for you, "go for it!" I need to hold myself accountable everyday atleast for now. I get really out of control once I start eating. The weekends usually do me in and I'm always going over my 1200 cals. that I'm supposed to be doing right now. Can't wait to get to that comfort zone to be confident enough to trust myself. I think you are doing so good and will be one that will keep it off after reaching your goal!!! :)

Lately I've been doing the same and taking it easy on recording on Sundays (or on the weekend) since we tend to go out to eat. Loss has been steady, so if it ain't broke, don't fix it! Your weight loss chart is an inspiring downward slope :)

I find it so hard when I don't record calories. I end up going overboard every time. You must feel good that you didn't get too crazy, it shows how much you've progressed in simple portion control. Always positive with the things we need to continue working on.

Thanks Sherrie! MS Jacqueline, I'm so glad you found something that is helping. Sounds like an awesome program! Njashka, it does seem like salt is more of a guy thing, at least around my family and friends. Kinda crazy ;-) Thanks Madanjan and Euheide! Christina, that's the same as it was for me at the start of the year. It was really hard, and still is without tracking normally. You are doing great though, keep it up! Exactly Astaka, not broken yet ;-) I have trouble reducing carbs below maintenance if I don't consciously track. So tracking mkst the time is a definite necessity!
