throughout the Spring and Summer 2010 I managed to maintain a low weight eating the same foods from my regular menu daily. The only variation was adding organically grown black raspberries daily during the growing seasons (sold a good bit from my tiny roadside stand, too). Over the following months, I knew I would gain some amount of weight if I continued with the same menu because of lack of exercise. That's exactly what happened. I couldn't let go of the "Whale" crackers, the morning multi-grain toast, the dinner flax 'n grains bread, and the daily banana. Starting just before Thanksgiving, I scaled back a little, but still could not eliminate all but the banana in the morning. I have a yam, about 1/4th of a whole yam now too, but that isn't every single day. As a result, of course, I have not lost even one pound of fat. I have revisited many of the books I keep on hand to motivate me to readjust my diet. I found a couple of useful calorie tracking sites, began tracking with Everyday Health, but there was no feature to enable tranferring the daily menu to the next day, or other days. I also determined the particulars using other sites of use. I realized a more concerted effort was necessary or I would not lose even a pound before beginning my more active routine in mid-April. I found myfatsecret, joined a challenge, hoping these will help jumpstart my plan to lose at least 8 pounds by June 2011. That seems attainable at only 2 lbs per month.
