FitOKay's Journal, 17 March 2014

So my husband and I gave up baked sweets (and alcohol) for lent. Yesterday we got a call from Aunt Debbie that girl scout cookies came in. We only ordered two boxes for the boys since we knew we'd be abstaining. She hands us a bag with two boxes, an extra box they over ordered then didn't sell and didn't want... then a bag of 7 boxes for me to give to one of my friends who ordered them. Of course the boys immediately beg for a cookie also. So there my husband and I are, driving home having sworn off baked sweets with not 2 but 10 boxes of cookies in the car and the smell of the cookies permeating the entire vehicle. Trevor finally laughs and goes, "So this is one of those 'God tests you' times, huh?" t in deed.

In other news- yesterday's cheat day wasn't bad. I kept a running total during the day and ended up sitting down and logging it when we got home. wasn't even at maintenance. Today I slept a little late and woke up feeling a little dehydrated, so I think the morning weight is a little low.

How is everyone else?

Girl Scout Cookies store just fine in the freezer. They will be a reward at the end.

That's what my mother in law always does with them =) I will probably put a sleeve/baggie of some from the 3 boxes we have in the freezer for Trev and I after Easter. I'm sure the rest will be gone long befor lol.

Yep, freeze them. Anytime you want one, take out ONE serving and WAIT (lol)! Usually the wait allows you to put that sugar-eating hunger horse back in the gate. But if the willpower is super low...donate them to the Children's Ministry at local church or Food Bank/Pantry. If you can't say no, they've gotta go! :oD
