GlennM's Journal, 29 January 2014

I had to take lots of sugary medicine the past week. Honey for a cold, plenty of it, (heated up with lemon or lime juice in a thick mixture - it works wonders) - which I am sure kicked me off Atkins. I have to do low carb as I am not able to get tons of exercise. I am sick of this long, long, cold winter. It is very cold out - we had a few mild days the past few months, but the cold has been the story here and I am sick of it. I am considering moving down to the South within a year. I don't know if I want to stay where there are long, drawn out winters the rest of my life. I will not go back to California, too many earthquakes when I was there.

Tip - If possible, eat some protein before taking the sugary meds. That will help slow the rate of the absorption of the carbs & help with the insulin spikes, etc. As for moving south, there is not much temperature difference today!

Hi Buffy and Bren. Most of Florida is quite warm. They get no snow in Tampa, Orlando, Miami, etc. - one of my FB friends is down there. I am thinking San Antonio. It is bitter, bitter cold up here, a very long, cold, terrible winter here. Where is Al Gore and the 'warming'? I could also move back to Hawaii, but I heard the crime there is bad now.

You know it is time to move when one of the weaathermen says "The day will be delightful with highs in the TWENTIES with plenty of sunshine." Yes, it is sunny out, which is nice, but that is too cold. It might reach the thirties here. Yippee!
