Good luck! I love chalene. I'm impressed you picked p90x/ turbo fire hybrid to launch your 6 week challenge- good for you! p90x kinda scares me

it is a great workout. The trick is to get past the first two weeks. After that...you're gold and the results start coming in spades.

hmmm- i'm intrigued and so glad you shared that. we own it, but no one in my house does it. I know a lot of people in the same boat! perhaps I"ll get in shape for a month or so and then give it a try.... : )

It would be a lot less "painful" shall we put it if you weren't starting right away with it. I dove right in the first time and could hardly stand after a week but then all that eased and I stuck with it. lots of soaks in Epsom salts and ibuprofen. This will be the 3rd time I'll be doing it in 16 months. If you own it....DO IT! You'll love the results. If something is hard the first time just modify it but keep going.

You sure make it sound tempting but it still sounds like absolute drudgery, no? I really like your suggestion to modify to my needs. For example, I am 45. I don't have knee issues and don't want any so plyometrics are OUT. But I have often found a low impact modification that still gets my heart rate up there! Thanks again for the encouragement!

Well I'm 41. When I first did the program I was 6 months post partum and almost 50 pounds heavier. I had to watch my knees and ankles. I wrapped my knee that gives me trouble and an ankle wrap just in case. By the end of the 90 days I was stronger than I was 15 years ago and had the stamina and motivation to complete Insanity right after. I started with 5 am workouts in June of last year (was and still is the only time of the day to call my own) and am still at it. I've done a P90X/Insanity hybrid, P90X2 (which is actually easier than P90X), turbofire and les mills combat. I'm using this 6 month makeover to finally get my eating back on track (which was slipping) and kick my butt into gear to get to my final goal weight by the new year. P90X will do it for me.
