I've lost quite a bit of weight in the last 15 months. Too much, really (20 to 25 lbs.). People keep asking me if I've been sick. My goal weight was 155 lb. and at one point I was down to 142. Of course a change in diet recommended by my doctor was the reason for much of loss. Another reason is the fact that I've been trying to limit my sodium intake to 1500 to 2000 mg per day in order to get off blood pressure medication. The medication I take reduces sodium in my system so it's ridiculous to be consuming too much sodium. My wife is Asian and lunch and dinner are usually stir fry. She's been ill lately and although she picks the ingredients I do the cooking. Unfortunately, Asian food is loaded with sodium. As she had been eating less I had a larger portion of the cooked meal and it raised the sodium level in lunch and dinner by 50%. In order to keep my sodium level to the desired amount I was eliminating other foods and had reduced my calorie count to below a level where I could maintain my weight. Finding some low sodium substitutes for cooking and my wife's improved appetite have allowed me to take in less sodium at meal time and add nutritious snacks in between meals while still keeping my desired sodium intake low.
144.2 lb Lost so far: 60.8 lb.    Still to go: 2.2 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
