Yay down a bit more and I met another Atkins person! Walked for hours yesterday, and then walked around the city taking photos of the buildings that didn't survive. That may have spooked me enough to not sleep well but we had to do it. A quiet day seismically yesterday thankfully, not that it stopped me anticipating another quake. It ain't over yet! Not till I sing anyway LOL haha! Ate okay... not the best - probably too much protein but these days are still weird so I am cutting myself some slack. For now anyway!

Anyway... when we were in the supermarket I was looking at peanut butter and the guy next to me mentioned he was looking at where it was manufactured, and I said I look at the sugar only, and he said he looked at the carbs. I asked if he was low carbing and he said he was on Atkins! It was exciting LOL. We are a very rare breed around here! He was thrilled with his lower cholesterol like I am, and that he could fit into his trousers LOL. We chatted like old mates ROFL!

That's great. Another Atkineer. How are you all doing? Good I hope. BIG congrats on that loss. Keep it up. I'm very proud of you that you have stayed so strong.

Thanks buddy! Slept badly last night but today is a beautiful day. My bird must have freaked out with the high winds during the night as he lost more feathers overnight (usually only when we have large overnight quakes - but there were none last night!). Poor wee thing can't understand what is going on. Thanks for the congrats. It is nice to see it go down a few times in a row. I really do need to get back into the muscle building again.

That poor bird. Muscle building? Not like the Rock muscle building, is it?lol Hope you enjoy your evening.

That's great you found another kindred spirit, at least in nutrition. In a few years, you'll be very glad you took the photos you did. After all is cleaned up and cleared away, and maybe new structures put in place, it's all too easy to forget how it used to be and what devastation really took place. Is there anything you can do to help the bird from losing its feathers? I guess I don't know much about birds...

No - just puny little muscles ROFL! Sandy - nothing we can do but hope that he stays calm long enough this time to grow more back in and keep them this time LOL. This is the 3rd time that he has dropped and pulled out feathers, purely due to stress. Re the photos, we could have gone in the morning of the biggest quake but I was too terrified to go anywhere really. It was all too raw. We would have had amazing photos though but I am such a wuss - not particularly fond of shaking ground and falling buildings... funny that!

Glad the weight is going in the right direction. Fancy meeting a stranger who was on Atkins? The world is getting small.

Squiggs, would you post some of you photos for us to see? I would really like that if at all possible. I sure hope things get better for you folks soon. Try to have a good day and be safe.:)

It sure is Sandy. I was quite thrilled! We just uploaded them yesterday so I will make some smaller and pop them on here. On some the lighting was abysmal as it was late in the evening but you should get some sort of an idea - remember it was almost 7 weeks ago though - so things had been cleaned up and shored up and all that stuff - not raw like it was the first few days.
